Ways to get stuff DONE

We all have those moods where we feel insanely productive, but as often as those come around, times when you don't feel like doing anything, happen twice as often. So these are just some of my tips on how to get things done during times like Mid-Terms, or Finals so that you don't forget anything important. This can be used for so many things, not just educational work.
Enjoy!!

1. Make a List
Lists are foolproof ways to make sure that you won't forget anything when you really start to work. This way, when you are in one of those productive, motivated moods, you won't leave anything behind and then have to realize that you forgot three assignments, and now you don't feel like doing them.

2. Block out all Distractions
Whether this is people, music, or even just ads on the sides of your browser, distractions can be detrimental to our work ethic. Having to stop what you're doing every 5 minutes going, "Squirrel!" is something that happens to a lot of us, but rarely do we thing of removing the source of the distraction.

3. Have a goal
Goals are very important to getting things done. When this idea is applied to things like fitness or grades, it can be extremely beneficial. If there isn't a goal to push you, then your efforts will be lackluster and just unmotivated. With a goal, you have something to work towards, whether that be looking like somebody(fitness), or just trying to get your grades up because your parents are bribing you with something. This is often when people do their best work.

4. Be willing to take your time
This idea ties in very closely with the next one, but they are both important. Being willing to take your time means that you won't just do it for the sake of getting it done. You are doing it to reach the aforementioned goal. Your are doing it for a reason, so you are more likely to do it correctly.

5. Realize that nothing happens immediately
This idea pertains more to fitness than other things, in my opinion. A lot of times, when people begin to exercise to get the body that they want, they often forget that it takes time and effort. They will exercise one day, and look for results the next, not realizing that it takes time. This can also be used in an educational capacity.

6. Do your best work
This one is key. Even though it's something that teachers tell you all the time, its true. Your best work will always be better than work you do on a passing whim, with only 10% of your enthusiasm. The harder you work, the more you will be rewarded for that work, even if the reward isn't immediate.
